Arrival in Spain

Hola amigos y la familia! Fyi, this is more than likely all the spanish you will get out of me in this post. Thank you google translate! I hope this finds you all well and ready for Christmas. It is hard to believe it is already here!

As most of you know I made it to Spain safely almost two weeks ago now. The travel over with the Smith family went, for the most part, very smoothly. Our long flight was from Chicago to Madrid (8 hours). Thankfully the triplets slept about 5 hours of this time allowing for some much needed dozing for the adults. I say dozing because it is a little tough to sleep with a small child sprawled out across your lap while simultaneously blocking the entrance to the aisle just in case you were to fall asleep and said child decided to wander around the very large aircraft. I know it may sound like this happened but we were actually very successful in our tactics.

Now things did get a little, or a lot, interesting once we arrived in Madrid. We had 1 hour & 10 minutes to get from one flight to the other. For most this sounds like an ample amount of time but when you factor in 3 adults, 2 year old triplets, no stroller, 10 bags, one security check point and customs this seems much less feasible. Let me tell you, this was a workout. Somehow we managed to get to our gate with ten minutes to spare then had to lug everyone and everything out to the tarmac in order to board the plane. Once on board we only had a one hour flight to Malaga, my new residence.

Malaga, or Torremolinos more specifically, is absolutely beautiful! My favorite thing to do so far is walk around and soak up all of the beauty here. I am in awe of God's creation and feel tremendously blessed that He has allowed me to be in this place. I can't wait to see all of the things he has planned in this time!

As for the work part of all of this it is going fantastically! The triplets are tons of fun and bonding has not been a problem at all. They all have their very own little personalities so it is fun to watch them interact. Little Sierra is the screamer/singer, she may be small but she has some lungs on her. She can out cry or scream the boys any day. You will often find her entertaining herself and everyone around her by singing very loudly. Jonathan, or Johnny, is the laid back one for the most part. He always hanges at the back of the crowd. He brings a whole new meaning to leisurely stroll. Then there is Michael, or Mikey, the very cute but mischevious one (hmmmm reminds me a lot of another little Michael I once knew, my brother maybe?). He gets this almost sweet grin on his face that starts to melt your heart until you realize he is about to do something not so sweet, like launch his food across the room. Never a dull moment with these three. :) Regardless of screaming, pokiness and food launching I have loved spending time with these three. I'm sure I will have tons of stories for the upcoming posts.

Well, I think it is time to wrap this one up. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas! Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
